Terms of use
The ground rules for using Auntie Knows Native. Last updated October 27, 2026.
Listings are a starting point
We work to keep events and listings accurate, but dates, places and details can change. Always confirm with the host before you go. Auntie Knows Native isn't responsible for events or businesses run by others.
What we publish
We list only events their hosts make public, and never ceremonies. We may edit, decline or remove any listing, event or ad, including anything inaccurate, disrespectful, or against our badge and advertiser rules.
When you send us something
By sending an event, photo or description, you confirm you have the right to share it and you allow us to publish it on the site and our social media. You can ask us to take it down anytime.
Badges and ads
Badges are free and can't be bought. Paid ads follow the rules on the advertise page. A false claim of Native ownership removes the badge and any ads without refund.
Ask Auntie
Ask Auntie answers and genealogy guides are general information to help you get started, not legal advice or a decision about tribal membership. Only tribes decide who their members are.
